Verified Views for a two building apartment block in Bishops Stortford, Essex.
East Anglia is currently having a boom in development opportunities. With a lot of land available for new construction projects, there has been a recent surge in interest in the region. The East Anglia ONE project, for example, was officially opened at the end of 2019. One of the newest offshore windfarms in the UK, it offers countless new jobs in the rapidly expanding renewable sector.
Therefore, we were excited to work with the Michelle Bolger Expert Landscape Consultancy in 2017, to provide verified views for a new housing development in Bishop’s Stortford. The Essex-based proposal was for a two-building block of apartments, with the goal of providing affordable housing for the area.
As with any apartment block, the visual impact of the proposal was a crucial factor in being granted planning permission, so we made sure to provide accurate photorealistic photomontages. The verified view created was AVR3, requiring meticulous planning and precise measurements from us.
By first getting site-specific data, such as exact camera positioning, time of day, date and weather details, we were then able to construct a photorealistic model of the proposed development and situate it accurately within the landscape. This helped both our client and the planning authorities get a realistic depiction of the visual impact that the proposal would have.
